Wines that express where they come from.
At Weingut Feth, we believe wine should reflect its origin.
Not polished into uniformity, not interchangeable, and not shaped to fit a predetermined style. Instead, our wines are defined by their soils, their vineyards, and the unique conditions of each vintage. That is what fascinates me most about viticulture: revealing differences rather than smoothing them away.
My name is Florian Feth, and I cultivate vineyards in Rheinhessen according to Demeter’s biodynamic principles. For me, biodynamic farming is neither an end in itself nor a quality label to place on a bottle. It is the natural foundation for a way of growing grapes that respects ecological relationships and takes a long-term view.
Healthy soils, diverse cover crops, and a thriving ecosystem create the conditions for vines to express their site as precisely as possible. The less a wine has to conceal its origin, the more compelling it becomes.
This philosophy closely aligns with the values of Slow Food. Truly great food is created where responsibility matters more than short-term optimization, and where origin is valued not as a marketing concept, but as something authentic and meaningful.
Our winery is based in Flörsheim-Dalsheim, in the heart of Rheinhessen. In recent years, we have expanded to include vineyards in Mölsheim and the Zellertal. The limestone-rich soils of these sites bring new possibilities and lend a distinctive character to our wines. It is precisely this diversity within a single region that makes Rheinhessen so fascinating to me.
As a member of Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen, provenance is at the heart of everything we do. We do not define wine by technical perfection, but by its identity. The most exciting wines are rarely the loudest. Instead, they tell the story of the place where they were grown.
Ultimately, our goal is not to exert as much influence over a wine as possible. It is to create the right conditions so that site, soil, and vintage can speak in their own voice.
That is why I especially value partnerships with people and businesses that share these principles: respect for natural resources, craftsmanship, honest products, and mindful enjoyment. The finest food and wine are created where origin, responsibility, and passion come together.
